Wellness:  St. John’s Students Stay Fit

Living a healthy life is very important.  I asked students at our school how they stay healthy.  Their responses are listed by grade below. 

 

The Preschoolers say that the best way to stay healthy is to eat healthy foods and ride your bike.

 

Kindergarten

·       Ashley Ivan says “I take dance and eat healthy foods”

·       Timothy Berich says “I play baseball and eat healthy foods”

 

1st Grade

·       Alexa Henkel says “I take gymnastics and eat healthy foods”

·       Helena Baumgardner “I take gymnastics, ride my bike, and eat healthy foods too”

 

2nd Grade

·       Jonathan Leighty says “I play football”

·       Ava Gnibus says “I take gymnastics and eat healthy foods”

 

3rd Grade

·       Jett Baumgardner says “I play football, basketball and eat right”

·       Grace Nowicki says “I play soccer, basketball, exercise and eat healthy”

 

4th Grade

 

·       Lyndee Bialecki says “I exercise, take dance and gymnastics”

·       Douglas Leighty says ”I do sports”

 

5th Grade

·       All the girls take cheerleading.

·       Some of us take dance and others play other kinds of sports like Tae-kwon-do and swimming

·       J.C. Stup says “I take Tae- Kwon- Do, and ride my bike”

·       Austin McCoy says” I run “’

·       Chance Bodenhimer says” I toss a football and play basket ball for the Y.M.C.A “

 

6th Grade

·       Kayla Palmiscno says “I dance, gymnastics, and eat healthy”

·       Haven Trautmen says “ I dance, take cheerleading, and eat healthy”

 

7th Grade

·       Michelle Augustine says “ I ride my bike, work-out, walk my dog, and run  up and down my driveway”

 

8th Grade

·       Sadie Sandusky says “I walk and take cheerleading”

·       John Monroe says “ I take sports”
